Train realistically, act with forethought

We offer professional rescue training under realistic conditions. Real-life crashes for real-life exercises.

Our facility enables training across a wide range of scenarios. Led by Swan Rescue, experienced international instructors supervise the exercises and provide practical expertise, ensuring a safe and effective experience in every scenario. The facility uses ‘biofidelic dummies’ and advanced rescue techniques to make the training as realistic as possible.

Training is conducted using the latest rescue equipment from Lukas, Vetter, Makita and Paratech. On request, training is also possible using your own emergency vehicle.

Live Crash Scenario Light

The training scenario is based on a ‘live’ high-energy collision between vehicles, in which participants are confronted with realistic casualty scenarios and complex rescue conditions.

Live Crash Scenario Heavy

The training scenario uses a bus and/or lorry to simulate a serious road traffic accident under controlled conditions, involving vehicles colliding at high speed.

Search & Rescue

The scenario is carried out in the modular training container, which features several separate compartments, each with its own specific challenges. The scenarios include collapsed ceiling structures, height rescues, unstable walls and a crawl space. Together, these elements form a versatile and realistic environment for conducting Search & Rescue operations.

Extrication techniques in simulated conditions

Within the simulation hall, training is taken to a higher level through the use of realistic light and sound effects, weather simulations and more complex accident scenarios. These external factors challenge participants to apply their full professional knowledge and skills to successfully manage the situation and bring it to a successful conclusion.

With an extensive and certified test facility for realistic crash tests and accident reconstructions, the centre offers the possibility to simulate a wide range of scenarios in a lifelike manner. Within this environment, the Rescue Dome has been developed: an innovative training location where theory and practice come together and emergency responders are trained using realistic rescue scenarios.

Swan Rescue Swan Rescue offers targeted training for emergency responders who deal with a wide range of incidents — from serious road traffic accidents to building collapses and complex rescues in confined spaces.

Due to rapid developments in vehicle technology, engineering and pre-hospital care, keeping up to date is not a choice, but a necessity.

In collaboration with CTS Crash Test Center in Münster, Swan Rescue has developed the Rescue Dome: a professional training environment featuring realistic Live Crash and Search & Rescue scenarios for emergency services and organisations with operational responsibilities.

CTS / Crash Test Service Münster

Your competence center for crash tests

Our 40,000 m² facility, built in 2011, now offers the possibility to carry out comprehensive crash tests for accident reconstruction or to conduct standard crash tests for vehicle safety systems (for which we have been DAkkS-certified since 2013). Thanks to the available space, we can test all vehicle classes, whether passenger cars, motorcycles or heavy commercial vehicles (up to 70 tonnes), at speeds of up to 210 km/h.

The Crash Days in Münster (Crashtest-Service GmbH) are an annual, leading event for emergency services personnel (firefighters, medical staff) and crash analysts. The event offers practical rescue training with realistic crash tests, technical presentations and networking opportunities.

The Rescue Dome is part of Crashtest-Service and provides the facilities where the rescue training courses take place. The venue is located in Münster (Germany).

Rescue Dome

  • Duration:

    The standard training duration is one full day of 8 hours, including a 1-hour break.

    Multi-day training courses are possible by arrangement.

    Training courses are usually held from Monday to Friday; alternative days can be scheduled by arrangement.
